The Bible tells us exactly what we need to know about the “End Times”. Not many people have actually read the Bible. Though many claim they have, they really haven’t. This becomes very clear when one becomes wiser in the teachings of our Father. Once you know the truth and what is actually written in the Bible, you cannot be deceived. It is that simple. God’s Word is Truth, and with Truth, you cannot be lied to.

Imagine you see a small child doing something he isn’t supposed to be doing. Once you go over to correct that child, he may lie to you. But you, knowing the truth because you believe what your eyes show you, cannot be made to believe the lie the child was telling. God’s Word works in this same manner.

What is the Biggest Threat to a Christian?

"Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; — 2 Thessalonians 2:3

Deception: This is the single most dangerous thing that a Christian faces.

False Teachers — Let’s talk about the term ‘False Teacher’ for a minute.

When Jesus was asked what the End Times would be like, His first warning was this: “And Jesus answering them began to say, Take heed lest any man deceive you: For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many” — Mark 13:5.
The term ‘Christian‘ literally means Christ-Man, a ‘Man of Christ’. How many Men of God do you know? How can all of these “Men of God” have so many conflicting teachings coming from the same book? Just as Jesus said, They will say they are Men of God; Christian Teachers and Preachers — and they will deceive many.

With the rise of YouTube and other Social Media people are just coming out with all sorts on Non-Sense trying to gain a following. You have all kinds of different “Street Preachers” that are out here damning the souls of so many of God’s Children.

"For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables." — 2 Timothy 4:3

The Greek word exapataō (ἐξαπατάω) and the Greek word apataō (ἀπατάω) are both translated as “deceive”.

The Hebrew word nāšā’ (נָשָׁא) is translated as “beguiled”. Some examples of nāšā’ in the Bible include: Genesis 3:13, 2 Kings 18:29, Psalms 55:15, Jer 4:10, and Jer 29:8

Today Deception is running rampant. And when one tries to share Biblical Truth, people will blow you off thinking you are a “Conspiracy Theorist”. Such as the translation of the word nāšā to our English word “Deceive”. Most people will blow things off such as this in attempts to make it a coincidence.
This is one example of an English word’s origin. There are many of these and I will discuss them as we go along.

How can I keep from being Deceived?

With all the “Religions” of the world, You may feel overwhelmed about your Faith. God said that his Word is the only Truth.

"Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth" — John 17:17

God said “Ye shall know them by their fruits.” — Matt 7:16, Meaning that you will know a false teacher by what he is teaching. Can you find what the teacher is teaching in the Bible?

Some things to keep in mind while listening to someone teach:

  • Can you prove what is being taught by using only the Bible?
  • Does the teacher have his Bible open – and reading from it, word for word, verse by verse?
  • Does the teacher read one or two verses and spend 2 hours telling about how it relates to his life? Do you feel like you have grown in God’s Word after sitting through that?

God’s Word is Simple. As Is Written; “For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.” — 1 Corinthians 14:33
If something causes confusion then something somewhere is being misunderstood. All the teachings you receive; whether from here or from your church, should be taken back to the Bible and compared. There is big money in gaining a following in a Church. I can think of many “Preachers” who got rich by twisting the Word of God to gain a big following of both good and bad. Why? Because if the true Word of God is taught then there will be some people that get the hurt feelings, and you cant make money if you don’t have a following. Never Apologize for God’s Word. That doesn’t mean go out and say things just to offend people; I am saying if you are a teacher don’t skip over uncomfortable parts of the Bible to try to keep from offending. Don’t tell someone something is OK to do if you know that God said not to do it. That IS False Teaching, and a sin; “Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.” — James 4:17

"But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction." — 2 Peter 2:1

A Preacher will preach about what is important to him
I ask you this, Does your preacher teach the Bible, or does he get everyone all hyped up for the next fundraiser?
